This quilt combines soft pastel tones mint green, dusty rose, cream, and baby blue—with floral prints that evoke a timeless vintage charm. Each butterfly is intricately pieced and delicately quilted with swirl and feather motifs, adding movement and texture.

The idea was born during a quiet afternoon in my quilting room, as light streamed through the window and a butterfly landed outside. It reminded me of my grandmother’s garden full of roses, butterflies, and her old DIY quilting tools. This quilt was both a tribute and a challenge: aligning every wing symmetrically, choosing fabrics from scraps collected over years, and free-motion quilting the details of their flight paths.
