The scattered red stars were inspired by the first maple leaves falling outside vivid, untamed, and elegant in their decay. The patchwork of green, blue, and earth tones echoes the countryside trail behind my home, with paths of moss, sky, and soil all stitched into memory.
Creating this quilted table runner was both comforting and challenging. The improvisational star blocks took several tries to align just right — not too perfect, because beauty, like autumn, lies in imperfection. Each swirl in the quilting pattern captures the breeze that carries the season’s whispers.
